As the book by Conroy says, "The Water is Wide".
Daufuskie is only thirty minutes from Hilton Head and a hour by
boat from Savannah but it feels like you're going back 100 years in time. Most of the island is still sandy dirt roads revealing an
island that is rich history and nature with one of the most beautiful beaches on the East Coast.

You have arrived!!! The "Crab Company" features to best, freshest seafood that you've ever had. These critters
were swimming just hours ago. The freshest shrimp, oysters, fish and all the 'fixin's . Shuck your own oysters
right off the roasting pit. This is 'downhome' good. Consider this adventure for your private party, a birthday
to remember or a wedding. There are accommodations for overnight.

Your Playground -- where the adventure begins -- stroll over to the "The Crab Company Restaurant "
for a great meal or a 'cool one'.

Your tour may include a self-exploration tour in a four Passenger Golf Cart. These well-maintained carts are a really fun way to see this beautiful Sea Island at your own pace and see what you want to see. You will be given a detailed map and away you go! If it's a 'daytrip' just board any return boat you want. |

Another option is the guided group tour of the island conducted by a very knowledgeable guide; someone who has watched the island evolve. Sit back and leave the driving to us.

During your visit be sure to check out the store. There is a collection of photos, books and memorabilia that you may find of interest. Also they carry a limited First Aid supplies as well as the usual refreshments. |

Periodically, during the year American Cruise Lines stops by . "The American Spirit" is a 230 feet luxury cruiser which carries only 100 passengers. They come ashore for a tour of this ancient island, mooring overnight. The Captain told me that this is one of their favorite stops on their entire Southeastern Itinerary.
